The results:
The Winner: Variation B, with the logo on the left, saw a 23% increase in visitors clicking the navigation. Note that this data is for desktop visitors only.
The Reason: When visitors arrive at a site, their initial decision process usually revolves around services and product information. Once those questions are answered, they start considering trust and brand. Another issue is that the logo in Variation interrupted the reading flow of the navigation as users read from left to right. Placing the logo in the middle allows users to see the logo first and then look to the right, which causes them to miss the most important navigation elements like Services and Industries.
As with all tests, you should run this on your own site before implementing it. Results from one site rarely transfer directly to another due to differences in audience, brand perception, and other variables.
